I. General provisions

  1. The Privacy Policy defines how the personal data of Users necessary for the provision of electronic services via the website [adres strony] (hereinafter: the Service) are collected, processed, and stored.

  2. The Service collects only personal data necessary for the provision and development of the services offered therein.

  3. Personal data collected via the Service are processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter GDPR), as well as the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data.

III. Purpose of collecting personal data

  1. Personal data are used for the purpose of:

  • registration of an account and verification of the User’s identity,

  • enabling login to the Service,

  • performance of an agreement concerning services and e-services,

  • communication with the User (live chat, contact form, etc.)

  • sending a newsletter (after the User has given consent to receive it),

  • maintaining a comment system,

  • providing social networking services,

  • promotion of the Controller’s offer,

  • marketing, remarketing, affiliation,

  • personalization of the Service for Users,

  • analytical and statistical activities,

  • debt collection,

  • establishing and pursuing claims or defending against them.

  1. Providing data is voluntary, but necessary to conclude an agreement or to use other functionalities of the Service.

IV. Type of processed personal data

The Controller may process the following personal data of the User: first and last name, date of birth, residential address, e-mail address, telephone number, NIP.

V. Period of processing of personal data

Users’ personal data will be processed for the period:

  • where the basis for data processing is the performance of an agreement – until the limitation period for claims after its performance,

  • where the basis for data processing is consent – until its withdrawal, and after withdrawal of consent until the limitation period for claims.

In both cases, the limitation period is 6 years, and for claims for periodic performances and claims related to conducting business activity – 3 years (unless a specific provision provides otherwise).

VI. Sharing of personal data

  1. Users’ personal data may be transferred to: entities related to the Controller, its subcontractors, entities cooperating with the Controller, e.g. companies handling e-payments, companies providing courier/postal services, law firms.

  2. Users’ personal data will not be/will be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

VII. Users’ rights

  1. The User of the Service has the right to: access the content of their personal data, rectify them, erase them, restrict their processing, transfer them, object to their processing, withdraw consent at any time (which does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal).

  2. A request to exercise a right resulting from the above-mentioned rights should be sent to the address sklepbookomania@gmail.com .

  3. The Controller fulfills or refuses to fulfill the request without undue delay – no later than within one month of its receipt.

  4. The User has the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office if they consider that the processing violates their rights and freedoms (GDPR).

VIII. Cookies

  1. The Service collects information using cookies – session cookies, persistent cookies, and cookies of external entities.

  2. The collection of cookies supports the proper provision of services in the Service and serves statistical purposes.

  3. The User may determine the scope of access of cookies to their device in the browser settings.

IX. Automated decision-making and profiling

  1. Users’ data may not be processed in an automated manner in such a way that any decisions could be made with regard to them as a result.

  2. Users’ data may be subject to profiling in order to tailor content and personalize the offer after they have given their consent.

X. Final provisions

  1. The Controller has the right to introduce changes to the Privacy Policy, provided that Users’ rights will not be limited.

  2. Information about introduced changes will appear in the form of a message available in the Service.

  3. In matters not regulated in this Privacy Policy, the provisions of the GDPR and Polish law shall apply.
