Taking advantage of her winter break, Alicja, a Warsaw high school graduate, decides to head to the Bieszczady Mountains. However, she completely fails to anticipate the dramatic change in weather and, due to her recklessness, suffers a serious accident. Luckily, she is rescued by Wiktor, who lives alone in the area and has only a large, gray wolfhound for company.

Trapped in a multi-day snowstorm, Alice and Wiktor begin to grow closer and realize that, although they seem to come from completely different worlds, they have far more in common than either of them could have imagined. And although feelings begin to blossom between them, they struggle to resist them, for each of them harbors a secret and a legacy that could prove both a blessing and a curse.
